Here we have two photos of Tilbury ship scrubbers posing for a picture to be taken on board ship. These belonged to my grandmother Florence Locke who also was a Tilbury ship scrubber in the 1940s-1950s I believe. Mabe you might recognise any of these lovely ladies from the past.

  • Hi my mum Pearl Malthouse and my nan Iris Malthouse used to be a ship scrubber on the swedish lloyd ships but this would have probably been in the 50, 60 or 70s

    THE BABY NAN IS HOLDING IN HER ARMS, IS DAVID AROUND 1941-42 AS HE WAS BORN IN 1939.
