Ladies day at Ascot!

Ladies day out

This photo is of a coach party of ladies in the 1950s. I am not sure but think it was a day at Ascot. Unfortunately the only ones that I can recognise on the top left hand side is my grand-mother Daisy Thompson and the bottom row to the left is Elsie Cook.
I do hope that someone may recognise some of the other ladies.

  • What a great picture and a lovely memory for me. My mum is in the middle row, 7th from right, her name Emily Allison, next to her is her sister Nance Faint, next to her Bella Hodgson, a friend and next to Bella is Jean (?) whose last name I forget, but who also was a good friend. They were all good mates and went to Ascot every year and also the T.U.T.E. on Saturdays and for the Sunday concerts. They’re all gone now, but it was really nice to a picture of them doing something they really enjoyed.
