Here is a great photo of the Tilbury Railwaymans Band from 1919. We have not got any names of the proud men with their instruments. Do you know anyone in this photo?
This is a great pic, and as far as I know it’s the oldest photo of what is now The Tilbury Band. We have the original postcard print of this in our archive at the Band and if anyone knows of others in the photo, or has any other photos or artefacts relating to the band we’d love to hear from you. Please visit the Band’s website at http://www.tilburyband.com, click on “Contact Us” and send us through a message.
We are currently looking at ways to help us celebrate our 100th Anniversary in May/June 2019. Any suggestions welcome.
