COLUMBUS on the TLS

By Jack Willis

The cruise ship COLUMBUS on her first visit to Tilbury (photos on 8/6/2017).  She is 63,786 grt and I believe she is the largest cruise ship on the Thames.  (Is this correct RWJ?) She was built in 1988 as the FAIR MAJESTY; in 1989 became the STAR PRINCESS; 1997 became the ARCADIA ( P&O); the DREAM VILLAGE in 2003; PACIFIC PEARL in 2010 and now the COLUMBUS. Due to the ferry being out of service I could not get my usual photos from the river but these photos show how she dominated the sky line.
