SUECIA and her sister BRITTANIA were built in 1929 and sailed between London and Gothemberg every week (excluding wartime) They lasted into the very early 1960s.
This ship and her sister ship ‘Britannia’ and the third newer vessel ‘Saga’. all arrived together in 1946 to resume the Tilbury-Gothenburg service which arrived at Tilbury Landing Stage every Monday morning and sailed on the following Saturday evening…..All being served by boat trains from London’s St.Pancras station
