Christmas Lights 2019

Tilbury Riverside Project are delighted to be able to put on the annual community event this year for Tilbury. The Tilbury Christmas Light is a family community event which is attended by hundreds of the local people. Switching on the lights will take place at 6pm on 6th December.

The local schools and dance schools make Tilbury very proud with all the talent they bring to the stage. There will be lots to do and see on the night with Santa and his pixies arriving with his sack of toys for the children. Santa’s Grotto is in the Sunshine Centre and is a magical experience for the children. There is a fun fair, refreshments and food stalls. The Tilbury Christmas lights are a delight to see and the people of Tilbury are very proud of them.

The Tilbury Riverside Project which is a local charity and raises the money each year for the lights. This event has been going for over 20 years. Without the support of local businesses such as EMR this event would not take place. EMR kindly donated £4,000 towards the lights this year. Annie O’Brien the project manager said “it was so generous of EMR to support the Tilbury Lights this year, it is hard to raise funds for the event, so EMR’s donation has made all the difference. I would like to say a very big thank you to EMR!”

Merry Christmas
