Wedding in Gainsbough Avenue

These wedding photos are of our mother and father and were taken on Boxing day 1939. The wedding took place in St. John’s Church, Tilbury and our father had just been called up for the war. The group photo was taken in the back garden of 43, Gainsbourgh Avenue and was the reception for the wedding. Our nanny Sarah Webb is peeking from round the back of our dad!! The little girl was Maureen Taylor who wanted to get in the picture too!
