Don’t know the year but it has got to be a Tilbury club outing as my Dad is pictured. I would say before the war as he has hair. After the war finished the shock of being torpedoed in the Med I think led to him losing it.
Hi This coach dates from May 1935 and it was requisitioned from its owners Westcliffe on Sea by the War Department in 1940. It has WW2 black-out hoods to its headlamps which suggests the photo was taken during the war when possibly in use with the War Department – even though it still says Westcliffe on the side.

I wonder whether the coach is post-war. Which one is your dad? What was his name?

Hi John my dad is 7th from the left as you look at the photo wearing a waistcoat tie and what looks like a flower in the button hole or a hankie in his top pocket.I would say it is pre war and probably a Tilbury Tute outing.I can not remember my dad having hair like that (only around the sides) I think the shock of being torpedoed on a minesweeper in the med led to the loss but he never spoke about it I only learnt of this after he passed away.
