This picture was taken on 10th May 1929 and show the carpenters and joiners of Tilbury Housing No 4 section taking time out for a photograph during the building work on the new estate.
Tilbury early this century was a fast developing town.The newly opened docks brought many more residents to the area, so there was a great demand for new houses.
