Yeh remember it well it was 1964 & the best holiday I’ve ever had & I do remember the fancy dress party at the end of the stay I was Dr Kildare ! Any body remember Mr Spurrell the vicar who came with us & helped out with a little problem we had with the local constabulary ? I was Head boy at the time & expected to be responsible!! 16yrs old eh ! Happy times !!!

What a great time it was, myself and the late John Coussins would walk to the hostel after we moved to the hotel to collect the mail. Do you remember the fancy dress near the end of the trip. I have some photos will post on here soon

Thats right it was Chateau-de-Oxe I remember it now the hostel was horrid so we moved to a hotel and if my memory serves me well it had a crazy golf course in town which we could use free of charge.I also went the following year (1965) which was to Interlaken Oh Happy Days indeed

Yes this was a holiday to Chateau-de-Oxe, what lovley memories have come to mind, on our arrival in Switzerland, I remember the accommodation at a hostel was not up to Mr.Preece (the headmaster) expectations and we only stayed there for one night, and moved onto a lovley hotel, looked like a chocolate box image. OH HAPPY DAYS
