A book on UK politics features Tilbury

In 2017, Jack Shenker wrote a profile of Tilbury for The Huffington Post – see Tilbury is on the frontline of a global political upheaval. In preparing this profile, he spent some time in Tilbury talking to local people and learning about local organisations – including the Tilbury Riverside Project.

He has now published a book on UK politics called “Now We Have Your Attention”. The book includes a chapter about Tilbury based on his interviews and observations. These observations are through the eyes of a self described member of the radical opposition. As a result, some Tilbury residents may not recognise the picture he paints of Tilbury.
