Essex Garden Trust has been awarded a grant from the Land of the Fanns Community Action Fund to fund a project in Thurrock called Unforgettable Gardens. The project will produce an inventory which will provide a detailed understanding of Thurrock’s garden past. It based on previous Essex Gardens Trust District Inventories but adapted to suit the local situation. Project volunteers will include members of the Thurrock Local History Society and contributors to the Tilbury and Chadwell memories website.
Additional volunteers are welcome. Some previous research experience is an advantage, but but guidance and mentoring will be available.
