Floodtide

A musical performance at the Cruise Terminal

Floodtide was a musical performance in which a sensor submerged in the Thames Estuary read tidal data, which was transformed into music for players to read from their mobile phone screens. Some performances were staged at Tilbury Cruise Terminal during the Port of Tilbury Community event. This was part of Estuary 2016, an arts festival celebrating the Thames Estuary.

The performances took place on 17th and 18th September from 12.50-13.50pm each day and featured members of Southend Brass Band and musicians from St Nazaire in France.

The performances were free and we welcomed anyone, especially those with an interest in Tilbury and the Thames Estuary. There was a webpage here and a Facebook event here.
