  • This was my first ship at sea in 1975. Absolutely fantastic. Used to sail out from Tilbury do the continent then head out to Australia & NZ.

  • 1984. The Jervis Bay was being taken to the breakers yard when her tow snapped. She was stranded on a breakwater at Bilbao Spain Outer Harbour on 24th January 1984 after dragging her anchor in heavy weather. She broke in two and was broken up as she lay in April 1984.
