REPATRIATION OF POLISH TROOPS FROM BRITAIN TO POLAND, 1945-1948 A scene at Tilbury docks: on the dockside, the Guards band entertains the thousands of Polish troops on board the SS BANFORA, moored alongside, as they wait to depart from England. Many of them would face prosecution at the hands of communist regime for serving alongside the Western Allies.

DUTCH CHILD REFUGEES: ARRIVAL IN BRITAIN AT TILBURY. 1945. A Dutch school teacher leads a group of refugee children away from the ship upon which they have just arrived. They have berthed at Tilbury Docks and will be taken to a rest centre, before onward transport to a hostel.
