Passenger ship services to Lenningrad from the Tilbury Passenger Terminal in the 1970’s to 1980’s.

I am assisting a colleague and associate (a Finnish maritime historian and author) to accurately research information on passenger ship services between the Baltic and Tilbury for inclusion in his forthcoming next new book.

More specifically, I am trying to determine when the Soviet company Baltic Shipping Company Limited ceased its regular services between Leningrad and Tilbury, using the m/s Baltika (pictured above).

Proving an exact date or year (when regular services ceased) is difficult because, in the 70’s and 80’s, the Baltic Shipping Company also operated cruises from Tilbury, as did a British company called CTC which chartered Russian ships for cruises.

Ideally, I need to obtain copies of the Baltic Shipping Company’s published brochures of Fares & Sailings.
