    Did you take over from Vic Tobin , he was an eastender ,there are more photos on ships nostalgia site , leaving Liverpool before the last trip.

  • Would be before 1972 as I joined it in Liverpool in January 1972, 1st trip as jun/eng , and sailed on it until December before handing over in Bombay to I think a Greek shipping company .
    Only had 4 weeks leave between the two trips as the chief eng. wanted the deep sea guys back on board for maintenance.

  • I was a Navigating Officer Cadet with P and O and sailed on Mv Baltistan from Millwall docks in 1966/7. Did three trips around Persian gulf ports before returning to Liverpool
